Innovative digital offensive goes live
What is widely considered a disadvantage associated with chocolate is a huge plus point in the shift to digital - multiple media "melt" together upon touch and the information they communicate is sticky. Through this unique effect, content takes center stage and is interpreted more personally. Schüco’s "Innovation Now" platform has exactly the same impact. Here a virtual world containing product presentations, events and thematic highlights awaits.
And it enables this specialist in intelligent windows, doors and facades to display its entire range of new products and innovations - which was going to need an exclusively developed platform and an equally as independent sub-brand, i.NOW. And this is just what happened: In collaboration with 27km, the Schüco design team and other close partners, a seamless experience was created connecting films, animations, events, campaigns, showrooms and brand spaces.
i.NOW is a stage for innovation but it does not jump out at you. Instead, it guides visitors through a subtle brand experience in which Schüco communicates its core focus on "Health," "Smart," and "Security," each with its own unique design.
In addition to developing the actual platform and a content typology, we were also entrusted with the design of specific communication elements. The result is a cross-media system of design components that can be further developed over the long term and aligned to the company's international structure. Style guides show how the design works in detail and should be adapted according to media type: That’s the design of the platform itself, the motion graphics integrated into films, and the associated 360-degree campaign for print ads, web banners, social media teasers, or email signatures.
In order to position i.NOW as an independent brand, an autonomous design language was developed. This took the form of color gradients and CGI renderings, which could be seamlessly integrated into the company's Corporate Design aligned to its own color spectrum, visual language and typography. An independent "gradient motion" color tone was also defined for each focus topic. The neutral information area, which is linked to the general corporate presentation, picks up on the green (as the primary color) of the brand.
Informative, varied and personal.
All components of the design come together to form a beautifully composed final picture. The platform welcomes visitors into a darkened event/cinema atmosphere. This calms the eye enabling the visitor to focus on the content. Sound, cluster gradients, high-quality content and sliding fade-ins on the LED walls create a Hollywood feeling. And navigation is as simple as the Netflix experience - intuitive, seamless, and natural.
